I’ve had this hefty 800 page book on my bookshelf for nearly a year, and after several library renewals I’ve finally started reading it. I’m enjoying it so far, it’s mysterious and intriguing.

Here’s a quote I particularly liked:

“With this realisation, the room seemed suddenly to clarify, as when a chance scatter of stars restores into a constellation before the eye.”

The Luminaries, by Eleanor Catton
